Our company is based on the belief that our customers' needs are of the utmost importance. Our commitment is to meeting those needs. As a result, a high percentage of our business is from repeat customers and referrals. We believe in the quality and purity of our products. Our shea butter is unrefined and 100% pure and organic, handmade by a womens cooperative and brought over directly from Ghana. Being completely natural it has a nutty rather earthy smell, (some say it smells a little like white chocolate). Refined shea butter however, has no scent because of the chemical or/and heat processing.. It also loses all or most of its beneficial qualities when refined. Trust only pure unrefined organic shea butter, to get all the known benefits.
FAIR TRADE
Our products are fairly traded and ethical too. The womens cooperative who make the shea work extremely hard and they have a lot of respect for the shea. Its often their main source of income (hence the expression womens gold). It goes through its final 'packaging' here where we only sell it off the block in order to keep the integrity of the product. We pay a fair price for a worthy product to worthy hard working men and women.
Our belief. We believe skin care and beauty should be natural. We believe in sharing and fairness. We believe in community. We believe in a green future. We believe in Africa.
GOOD CAUSES
We will donate 5p of every £1.00 to good causes particularly those helping young people and disadvantaged families in Africa and UK. We are considering:
Investigating further charities for/in Ghana and Africa in general. We will post details as soon as we are satisfied with all choices.
AFRICA IS THE THEME FOR THIS COMPANY. AT THE CENTRE OF IT ALL IS SHEA BUTTER, WE MAY SELL OTHER PRODUCTS FROM AFRICA.
