Babies get a rude reception to the world when one of the first things that happens to them is a bath of a chemical liquid 'soup' of bath soaps and shampoos!  No wonder many develop ecsema. dry itchy skin and other skin condtions.  The important thing with our baby products is that, like all our other products, we avoid chemicals, especially those which are known irritants concentrating on the use of natural plant products as a basis.

 

TIP Use shea for children with Eczema after bath and before bed time rub shea butter all over the child. This will help them sleep as it will ease the itching and start to heal the irritated skin. This is a wonderful bonding time too

 

 

 

DID YOU KNOW That ecsema sufferes should never scratch their itching skin (easy to say I know) but here is why - because it poduces more anti hystemines and then more itching will occur. Constant scrlatching therefore will cause damage to the skin make it crack even bleed and ultimately less able to protect itself.

 

 

 

Put firm pressue on the areas using the tips of your fingersand hold firmly diown but do not move it back and forth - press down then lift and press down again. This pressue is enough to stop or relieve the itching without damaging the skin.

 

Apply shea butter.

 

Teach your child this so they do it themselves any time. normally. Apply some shea butter to soothe and heal. The thing that works most in shea is the fatty acids and vitamins.. You can add pure vitamin
